Plot: It's Harry's third year at Hogwarts; not only does he have a new "Defense Against the Dark Arts" teacher, but there is also trouble brewing. Convicted murderer Sirius Black has escaped the Wizards' Prison and is coming after Harry.

Sinopsis Indo

Setelah marah dengan Bibi Marge dan secara tidak sengaja menyebabkan dia mengembang secara ajaib, Harry Potter melarikan diri dari keluarga Dursley. Harry mengambil Bus Ksatria ke The Leaky Cauldron, di mana ia bertemu Cornelius Fudge, Menteri Sihir. Fudge memberi tahu Harry bahwa Bibi Marge telah dikempiskan dan bahwa ia tidak akan dihukum. Kementerian Sihir hanya peduli tentang keselamatan Harry karena melarikan diri dari pembunuh-massa Sirius Black dari penjara sihir Azkaban. Black adalah teman baik dari keluarga dan wali Harry Potter, tapi mengkhianati keluarga kepada Lord Voldemort yang jahat. Voldemort membunuh orangtua Harry, tetapi, ketika ia mencoba untuk membunuh Harry, misterius menghilang. Setelah itu, Black membunuh teman mereka Peter Pettigrew.  Harry, Ron dan Hermione kembali ke Hogwarts dan menemukan keamanan telah diperketat karena Black melarikan diri. Sekolah sekarang dijaga oleh Dementor, makhluk jahat yang "mengeringkan kebahagiaan orang terdekat" dan penjaga penjara Azkaban. Mereka juga menyebabkan Harry pingsan. Remus Lupin, guru baru Pertahanan Terhadap Ilmu Hitam memberitahu Harry dia lebih rentan terhadap dementor karena dia telah melihat kengerian yang tulus di masa lalunya. Lupin setuju untuk mengajari Harry Mantra Patronus, sebuah perisai melawan Dementor.
